"The world is composed of elements and compounds we cannot see with the naked eye — molecules, reactions, and chemical bonds that govern everything from the air we breathe to the ground beneath our feet. Through equations, symbols, and formulas, we decode these invisible forces, predicting what occurs when two substances mix. While most turn to magic to bend reality, the Chemist relies on real-world science, mastering chemical compounds to craft volatile, potion-like bombs and concoctions. Their craft brings explosive power, corrosive brews, and battlefield control — all achieved not through spellwork, but through precise chemistry, rivaling even the feats of the most gifted mages."

The Chemist is a non-magic class specializing in creating brews inside or outside of combat using elements from scavenged items and purchased concoctions. These potion-like brews are to be thrown and explode on impact. They can deal damage of several affinities, spread poison or acid, or even heal. The Chemist must be constantly aware of what they can collect and what they can make with it, otherwise they are useless without their concoctions in battle.

Abilities:

Throw Brew – You throw a brew from your Chemist pack.

Drink Brew – You drink a brew from your Chemist pack.

Pass Brew – You pass a brew from your Chemist pack to an ally that will catch it. They will be able to use it on their following turns using a bonus action.

Brew Types – Examples of Brew Types are as follow:

  • Mercury Brew – A medium sized radius of poison damage explodes, afflicting enemies with Stunned. Mercury can be collected from compasses, thermometers, etc.

  • Firey Brew – A medium sized radius of Fire damage explodes.

  • Resin Brew – A medium sized radius of sticky resin explodes, causing an AOE of gluey ground that will cause creatures to get stuck in it. Resin is collected from glue, tree sap, etc.

Field Chemistry – You take one turn to craft a brew mid-battle. It's effects may be strengthened due to the sheer will of it being created in the heat of battle.

Collect Element – You collect the element from a specific interactable area into a vial (Hot spring water, sulfur, acid, etc.) for later use.

Reactive Chain (Passive) - If you throw a brew to where it overlaps with the effects of an existing brew on the battlefield, radius of explosion will be increased, as will damage. Elements may cancel each other out, like Ice can put out Fire, or assist each other, like Wind can increase Fire.

Brew Shield (Reaction) - If struck by a ranged attack, you may hold a brew vial up to block the attack, causing the brew to explode on you.

Ultimate Ability – Mirage Drops – For 4 turns, you will infuse every Brew you throw with Mirage Drops, a magical liquid that will triple the brew you throw. You will be able to throw one brew three times, in three areas of your choosing.
