Carow
Carow, one of the most inhospitable nations in all of Natura, lies upon a large, desolate island wedged between the continents of Cicadea and Asael. Shrouded in perpetual gloom, the island is blanketed by thick smoke clouds emitted endlessly from the volatile Dak’thul Bridge—a massive volcanic fault just north of its waters.
This relentless volcanic activity casts a pall of darkness over the land, giving Carow its signature eerie, oppressive atmosphere and shaping the grim nature of its culture. The soil across most of Carow is barren and unyielding, unable to sustain crops or even the hardiest vegetation. As a result, the ecosystem has evolved into a ruthless food chain, where survival hinges on predation.
Due to the unattractiveness of the nation, it's culture has shaped into drawing tourists in with entertainment venues, circuses, fairs, shows and plays. Yet behind the colorful facade of playfulness lie a dark people who wish to take advantage of every purse that walks through their cities.
