As dutiful and loyal soldiers of the Empire, you would receive salary commensurate with your rank, as well as hazard pay and other such complexities. I'm going to abstract this and tie it in with the reputation system to represent your accessible salary, plus side hustles and gifts and such.
Salary
Each downtime (approximately representing a week), players will receive base pay according to their in-universe military rank:

Reputation Benefits
While aboard the Scylla, PCs can also receive money by rolling their reputation. This represents extra ways the players might earn income (or simply enjoy more comfortable living) such as overtime shifts, operational bonuses, gambling winnings, gifts, etc. Each downtime, the player may choose a Ship Section and roll a number of Yellow dice equivalent to their Section reputation rank. They may add the following values and multiply it by their total rank:
- Each Success: 10cr
- Each Advantage: 5cr
- Triumph grants: 50cr
Downtime Example
Corporal Wiggins finishes a mission and takes a few days of downtime. During this time, he earns his base pay of 300cr. He has 3 ranks of influence with the crew of the
Argus, and decides to roll those. He rolls 3Y and gets 1T, 2S, 1A for a subtotal of 50 + 20 + 5 = 75cr. That gets multiplied by his influence rank (x3) and becomes 225cr, for a grand total of 575cr for the downtime. His player describes this in fiction as Wiggins winning a big bet against the Sensor Operator aboard the
Argus.
In contrast, Lieutenant Jado has served aboard the Scylla a long time, and has 5 ranks of influence in the Stormtrooper Support division. His players takes his base pay of 800cr, rolls 5Y and gets 2T 4S 2A for 100 + 40 + 10 = 150cr, multiples that by his influence rank (x5), for a subtotal of 750cr, and a grand total of 1550cr. So you see, rank hath privilege!
