Galaxy Net Box
Information is important for a connected society, and it is important for information to move fast.
Sending information in distances as vast as lightyears, is not as simple as a connected satellite system between solar systems, endlessly sending data between themselves, so the best logistical solution so far is to supply every inhabited system with a satellite and as many spacecrafts as possible with an automated databox, that constantly downloads news from the local system and uploads them to other satellites as they move systems.

Mechanics & Inner Workings
The box is a computer with a strong signal and a lot of storage. As a spacecraft enters a system, the box links up with the Galaxy Knot Satellite in the system, and starts uploading news from the previous systems and downloading news from the present system.
It has a standard setting of buzzwords it looks for as important news first, which can however be modified to suit personal needs.

History
The need for communication has always been there, as has the logistics of sharing information always had to evolve to follow an ever expanding society.
Sending information between solar systems are limited by the speed that radio waves can travel, making information travel slowly between the early Terran colonies on other planets, however as technological advances made it possible for vessels to travel at faster than light speed, vessels carrying news became the fastest way to share information, and it quickly became the de-facto method of doing so.

Significance
The Galaxy Net Box is an important appliance in keeping the entire human society up-to-date with news from the core worlds and the frontier alike.
Especially between the frontier settlements and the capital, the flow of news is considered vital. So vital that ships are even hired for the single purpose of flying to frontier settlements and back, regularly.

I made this world because my mind keeps rambling, and instead of stopping it, I'm riding the wave.
It started with a picture in my mind of a tiger man in a small spacecraft following a giant tiger in space, in the tone of old saturday morning cartoons and the Heavy Metal animated movie.
Then came the idea of his occational ally, a woman in space flying a small asteroid. The more I wrote on her, the more I got intrigued by the past, I deviced.
Right now the flow is focused on her background - namely all related to The Genesis Project.
I do all of the writing and almost all of the drawing myself at this point.
My hope for Star Tiger is a published story or a graphical novel, but my big dream is an animated show.
