The Kaoticon is widely feared as a dangerous tome, with not a single page that is safe for mortal eyes. This is not completely true, there is one page that can be viewed without causing madness - although anyone who would use the knowledge described on it probably wouldn't need much pushing. This page describes necromancy, the art of controlling spirits, the dead, and even entropy itself. This is forbidden in every system of law imaginable, by both man and elderon alike. When it was first heard of, all who knew of it agreed that it must be destroyed before it fell into the wrong hands. This action, while admirable, is no longer possible.
Manifestation
Necromantic spells usually appear as a sickly purple glow that flickers like flame. Its effects range from raising undead monstrosities to unnatural decay to tampering with the afterlife itself.

For those wondering, no, you cannot play as a necromancer. They rip souls from their rest, desecrate corpses, and play volleyball with puppies. They are the bad guys.
