Star Dragons

Whether they are truly gods or not, these beings are rightfully worshipped as such. They have power on a cosmic scale. They have been known to create and destroy stars and pass through black holes unscathed. As Lords of Cosmos and Aether they retain their strength even in death, their bodies becoming empty vessels for lesser species traverse the star-ways until the dragons spirit decides to return. Legends of Star Dragons appear in every culture in the Beggars Hand painting them as saviors and protecters or as cosmic engines of destruction. Tales of their Hoard-Worlds in the Palm have driven kings and peasants alike mad with greed.

Basic Information

Genetics and Reproduction

When a Star Dragon dies, it's spirit resides in the Aether, still aware of the Galaxy its physical body remains in. When it decides to return it strikes a deal with a mortal, granting it the Dragons hollowed out corpse to use as a starship and the cosmic power to captain it with will alone. Over time, as the mortal captains power grows the Dragon will start to force the mortal body to transform, growing scales and proto-wings. Eventually the captain will be compelled to create a cocoon to rest in while the Star Dragons spirit fully possesses him and forces his body to metamorph in to a more suitable form. At that point the mortal captain has ceased to be. The Star Dragon has fully possessed the mortal, taking over his mind and tailoring his body to it's wishes. With this complete, the Star Dragon has returned to the land of the living.
