Founding
The "Frente Popular de Liberación Nacional" or The People's Front for National Liberation, is established sometime in February of 1993. The front begins as a loose alliance of communities dissatisfied with the government's project for economic liberalization. The PFNL is headed by Eric Cárdenas the face of the group, Heriberto Guerrero a journalist and researcher of the University of Puebla and former Colonel of the Mexican Army, Patricio Carmona.
