Emilia Salamanca Rocha is a Captain for the Mexican Army, currently she's serving as in an administrative position in the Morrison School for Higher Learning.
Emilia was scouted in 1998 by the Mexican Junta to serve as a communications officer. During the early stages of the war she served in Guanajuato, relying information between the front lines in the Valley and Command in the North.
After the failed 1998's ceasefire she was reassigned to probe for defectors among the meta humans. She succeeded in revealing a large amount of defectors only for command to realize they could not handle them. She was captured by The Ramparts during the 1999 Islas Marías raid but was granted amnesty on account of her age(17).
She rejoins the army in 2000 but finds herself stripped of her rank and decorations.
Salamanca would graduate from the Heroic Military College in 2005 and go onto serve as a support officer in international operations in Central America and Africa.
She remained enlisted until 2014 when she was given a general discharge which she successfully repealed in a appeal, allowing her to reenlist in 2015.
In 2016 she was appointed as the Mexican Liaison to the Morrison Academy.
Appearance
A woman far too short to have been in the military (158), she has short reddish brown hair and brown eyes.
Carries around keys to the lower levels of the school as well as a number of USB keys which allow her to both access the school security systems and to hack into the army systems from the school.
Every other teacher carries around an alarm which activates whenever she tries to use her powers against them.
She wears an officer uniform with a special circlet around her head, this contraption lights up and screeches whenever she uses her powers without authorization, the circlet also includes a series of radio components and an interface to remotely access the school systems.
Powers and Abilities
Em has the ability to read people's thoughs and transmit her own, even from fairly large distances, can read people’s thoughts and communicate her own. She can use her powers up to about 800 kilometers away but only if she's can identify her targets from that distance.
Besides her support capabilities she can also provoke pain and hallucinations on her targets, though only on those within eyesight.
