I've made a sheet to track my worldbuilding progress over the course of the year. If this goes well, it is likely I will be using it again in 2025. In this sheet, I'm manually entering in details from each of my articles I write over the course of the year, and using a few formulas to gather stats about my worldbuilding. I've done this because I think it will be cool to be able to see how the year has progressed, and have a representation of that progress.
The Sheet
Sheet Overview
Stats
The stats section is an overview of my world and article stats so far in the year, automatically calculated. There are a few goals here as well - the "bonus accomplishments" section is automatically updated, while the goals & resolutions section is done manually.
Article Tracking
This section is the one that I manually update. It has a table for every article I create, a table for my
species-a-day project, and tables for the words written each day of the different months.
Charts & Overview
There are a few charts, displaying some interesting details from my stats: article types, words per world, etc. There is a 2024 overview page, which will remain untouched until the end of the year, when I will update it to see the difference between the state of my worlds at the beginning and end of the year.
Calendar
The calendar dispays the wordcounts on each day in a calendar-like format. It also has some extra space below each day in order to give me a spot to write any extra notes in about that day; sorta like a very concise journal.
