Circle of the Giver
Description
The Circle of the Giver is a druidic circle available to druids who follow the teachings of Mother Willow, a primordial being who is said to have brought life to Bastion through the creation and propagation of Genesis Trees.
Circle of the Giver druids generally believe that the overtaxing of the natural world is a catastrophic problem, and spend their lives seeking to regain balance between sentient life (particularly human, and Saikar government related) and the natural world. They aim to achieve a balance where all that is taken is returned. As taught by their patron, the most important virtue is that of generosity, and they believe wholeheartedly in giving the gift of sustenance to the people they encounter.
Alternatively, the nemesis of the follows of this Circle is Technomancy and the Technomancers who wield it. Mother Willow bestows her gifts on those whom she deems worthy, with one mission statement; bring about the end of technomancy and all of its relics. They believe that until this is achieved, balance can never be restored, and the end of life itself will be the end result of failure.
History
Once the spiritual head of a terrorist group known as The Flock, she led a campaign of aggression against the peoples of The Saikar Coalition - S.A.C, granting her followers the power to transform inorganic material, and even people, into plant matter, as well as to unmake technomantic items and return their essence and power back to the Ley Field, channeling it into her essence to rebuild her drained strength.
However, at the behest of The Board and Lord Gwydion Arianrhod, a mercenary band known as Giraffe Punk would come to emancipate her from her cult, returning her essence to it's original primordial state, and bringing about the dissolution of the Flock.
Despite this, there are still scattered druids throughout the Hyperion system who practice in her Circle, and while they have not reorganized, they often are found using her gifted abilities to combat the ever expanding technomantic wave.
