Vehicles

They stick to horses and horse drawn carriages unless a better option arises. Some of them have been known to use flying animals however it is rare.

Structure

One Silver Talon leads a group of five members during an operation. The unit is called a Cohort, and they communicate with The Nest.

Tactics

They use gorilla tactics when they're in familiar places or have an advantage at a given location. Generally, they do not like to be seen by their enemies until the time is right. Hand-to-hand combat is common in the Crested Owls because of the way they use majick.    The Crested Owls normally don't bring mages of any kind with them, but they stay in the back and provide buffs and support if they have to. If a mage needs to fight, you can expect deadly force.    When a Cohort is protecting someone they make their presence scarce with only one member being near their detail at all times. The other members will keep their distance.

Training

Cohorts are trained by the Silver Talon. The Silver Talon is responsible for overseeing all group training and making sure everyone in the Cohort measures up to the standers needed to complete the missions they do.    Idivudals will come with their own training because members are picked from guilds, factions, and other military groups. Experince is required and constant training is mandatory. Some Cohorts spelize in raged fighting or using magic/majick: This changes the training they must receive by the Silver Talon.

Logistics

Logistical Support

The Cohort needs constant communication with The Nest to operate efficiently. Small transmitters are created using raw technomancy, they're used to provide constant communication when it is needed.    When they're doing a protection detail, The Nest is not contacted often but will still provide support when needed. The Silver Talon does most of the communication work or they will hand it off to their second in command.

Auxilia

Mages are called in when they're needed, otherwise, they do not move in with a Cohort. When archers are needed, they will arrive with one mage, unless members of the Cohort are profncet with bows and other firearms.

Upkeep

Each unit is paid monthly, espeshelly when they're on a protection detail. They use gold, platinum, and ruby coins to pay for goods and services. Supplies are dropped off at a chosen location every month.    If the Cohort needs assistance right away, a Support Cohort is sent in to assist. These Cohorts have five members that specialize in medicine and removal.

Recruitment

Mmebers are recruited from all of the world(s) regardless of where you come from. The pool has always been small because members are normally 35+ with a ton of mission experience under their belt.    When being recruited the Crested Owls look for; mission experience and where you have traveled to and from, your kill count, and they will dig into your past. Recruitment can take years because the background search is extensive.    Normally men are recruited but Cohorts have been known to be lead by women. Women  can be found in The Nest where they provide constant communication for the field team. The women who do lead Cohorts take the job just as seriously.

History

The Crested Owls were founded to provide protection to royal families and classified persons of interest. When they were first formed they were kept a secret from the general public, and thought just to be a rumor or myth.    They first made their presence known in 510 The Dark Age when Princess Zoe TideWind was hospitalized after an attempted assassination. They hunted the assassin and swiftly ended him. After that day, they made a vow to the royal children of Halorus.    "No boarder shall divide us. No magic can stop us. Where danger lurks we will follow, to keep Mother Nature from feeling sorrow. Where you are, we will be there, to keep your family from dispare. Though you're strong, we are stronger, with us around you'll fear no longer."    They also protect classified people of interest, such as Summoners or the Eleminii.

Historical loyalties

The Crested Owls are loyal to royal children first and foremost. A separate group had to be founded to protect royal families in general.    Theyre loyal to the children because they're often hunted or kept captive for their magical abilities. The Crested Owls are their voice, they do not just provide protection but peace of mind and often times a friendly hand when its needed.
