Shortly before the Continuation War, another war broke out between the Kingdom of the Houses of Youndarim and another unknown species on territorial and commercial issues. The Unknown Species first gained the upper hand and the Qravadox Directorate decided to join the war alongside the Kingdom since they could not let the frontier territories of the Kingdom fall into the hands of the Unknown Species. It was when the Qravadox Directorate began to send these forces to join the war that the uriy revolted and the events of the Continuation War began resulting in the military intervention of the Myrran Trade Union and the Zelvan Council. This was catastrophic for the Qravadox Directorate who was not able to fight on two fronts. After a few years of trying to hold back the enemy advance of the Allied forces as best they could, he decided to capitulate to concentrate entirely on the war with the unknown species. When peace was officially signed, he was then able to refocus all these forces towards the front of his other war. Thanks to several victorious counter-attacks from the Qravadox Directorate and the Kingdom of the Houses of Youndarim, the two allies succeeded in bringing the unknown species to surrender. After the war, the two nations decided to begin negotiating a military agreement to counter the influence of the Alliance of Alpha Quadrant, which had grown considerably after the Continuation War. The treaty who was signed after the negociation include the Qravadox Directorate and the Kingdom of the Houses of Youndarim, stipulates that if one of the signatories is attacked, the other signatory must come to their aid. The other clause states that if one of the signatories wants to go to war, the other signatory must also go to war with their consent. This treaty will profoundly change the geopolitical landscape of the eastern part of the galaxy. The Myrran Trade Union, again feeling threatened by this new alliance will begin to fortify its border systems and slightly increasing customs tariffs in retaliation. However, the Myrran Trade Union was unwilling to attack this alliance for fear of losing what it had achieved so far and the new alliance not daring to attack the Alliance of Alpha Quadrant for fear of its military might. This will lead to the start of an economic war between the two rivals which continues today.
