Terra
Demography and Population
The Terra sector has a population of approximately 34 billion people composed entirely of humans. The six official languages and many others are spoken by the very diverse population that brings together all the human ethnic groups originating from the Earth.
Territories
The Terra sector has under its jurisdiction seventeen systems, thirteen colonized planets and one major inhabited space station. Its territory is located in the very center of the Republic being bordered to the north by the sector of Baxel and to the south by the sector of Arkanis as well as the sector of Javin. To the east by the territory of the Zelvan Council as well as the Baxel sector and by the end of the Arkanis sector to the west. The important peculiarity of its territory is that it contains the center of the Republic with Earth acting as the capital of the Republic.
Military
The sectors do not have their own armed forces as defense is an exclusive federal jurisdiction althought several units from all branches of the armed forces are stationed throughout the sector for it's defense. The Naval Base Patel serves in addition as a home base for the Navy's Home Fleet protecting the Sol System and the 1st Fleet. The 7th Fleet on the contrary utilize the Naval Base Rahman for home base with the numbered fleets responsible of defending the sector as a hole.
Technological Level
The Terra sector has the Terra Sector Research Institute on Mars which does research in many areas and provides grants to the private sector. This one can indeed receive a grant for research after a study of its request by the institute.
Religion
A small part of the population still practices the heirs of the old great religions althought the structures attached to it have long since disappeared. A larger part practices new religions which are no longer so much focused on the belief in one or more gods, but acting more as philosophies of life for the faithful. For many religion has been replaced by their local community in which citizens must be involved because of the democratic functioning of society even if the majority of the population is officially atheist. Whether that of their apartment buildings, work or city whose citizens are generally very close.
Agriculture & Industry
The sector is today the second most industrialized sectors of the Republic thanks to its central position and the passage of three Space Routes on its territory. The planets being considered industrial centers are Venus, Turayla, Anario and Jenali. The habitable planets are generally self-sufficient and therefore have no great need for imported food. Their surplus is however very often exported to the numerous colonies in space or hostile environments which have less production capacity. Certain planets with a significant number of arable land are therefore specialized in this type of export.
Trade & Transport
The transport of people and goods in the sector is possible thanks to the gate network which allow travel between systems. The Star Drive is used in the systems which allows ships to go, depending on the size of their reactor, at a maximum speed of twice the speed of light. The Space Routes that are set up by the government and act as major monitered transport axes where the majority of commercial traffic circulates.
Education
A standardized academic course has been adopted throughout the Republic by the federal governement even if education is a competence reserved for the sectors. The first level of education is junior as well as senior high school which is mandatory and given to people between the ages of five and seventeen. It teaches the basics such as writing, reading and arithmetic amongst others. The second level is then college or technical school which lasts three years. The first focuses mainly on bringing students to university while the second provides training that leads directly to the job market. The last level is finally university, which generally lasts four to six years, it is aimed at citizens who want to start a professional career in large companies or different levels of government. The federal law also obliges the sectors to provide this education free of charge at all stages of the school career to all their citizens without exception.
Infrastructure
The main civil infrastructures in the sectors are either in orbit of planets or dispersed in the systems the space stations. The orbital stations make it possible to make the link between space and the surface and serve as an anchoring place for the largest vessels which cannot land on the surface. The other major civil infrastructure are the spaceports, located on the surface of the planets, they can accommodate ships and serve as a direct link with space. Many Navy's bases in space are scattered on the territory to ensure its defense and same thing for the other branches of the armed forces that are also present on the surface of the planets of the sector.

Legislative Body
The Terra sector has as its legislative body a parliament which is composed of deputies who are elected by universal suffrage for a mandate of three and a half years with a maximum of four mandates. These deputies approves or rejects laws proposed by the governor and may propose amendments to them.
Judicial Body
The justice system of the Terra sector is headed by a Superior Court which is responsible for processing cases arriving at its level in agreement with others who have specialized in particular areas to reduce the burden on the Superior Court and for the sake of efficiency. All cases that are handled by these are sent to the Terra Court of Appeal if appealed and subsequently sent to the Supreme Court if the application is accepted. The President of the Parliament appoints from a candidate presented by the Office of the Terra Civil Service the Registrar of Terra that will then select the justices of the Superior Court and of the entire sectorial justice system.
Executive Body
The Terra sector is led by a governor elected by universal suffrage for a seven-year and non-renewable term. The Governor reports to the President and is responsible for constituting his government after his election and of determining the broad lines of his internal policy which he will then make apply by his government. He chairs his Cabinet which brings together the secretaries leading the various departments in charge of the administration of the sector. The secretaries of all departments are elected deputies who are chosen by the governor with the approval of the Office of the Terra Civil Service and usually of his party.
