Discovery
This technology was well known to humankind long before it was mastered, but its implementation posed for a long time several technical problems which took time to be resolved. Utility
Fusion is used for one essential thing, the production of electricity for cities, for ships or stations by serving as their main reactor, etc. Moreover, it is not only the Federal Republic which uses this technology, but several other countries like the Zelvan Council or it seems the Onatach Empire. Indeed, the study of the carcasses of their vessels revealed the presence of fusion reactors.
Manufacturing
Nuclear fusion power plants, the parts that are necessary for the establishment of these power plants, the ship reactors and all that is related to fusion are manufactured by several private companies specializing in the field. However, the reactors of military ships are manufactured by the government, more specifically the National Defense Production.
Social Impact
The mastery of nuclear fusion will allow a very great improvement in living conditions at the level of the solar system, the socialist policy of most countries will also make it possible to redistribute the benefits of fusion to the entire population. This discovery will also allow humanity to get rid of nuclear fission which, even if adopted by most countries to deal with climate change, had many disadvantages. In the long term, this technology will also allow the discovery of other very important technologies for the expansion of humanity in space.

Fusion is available to everyone and is the primary means of generating power within the Republic and other entities within the galaxy. Over time, fusion has also been perfected, which has allowed miniutarization in increasingly small and efficient reactors.
Complexity
The principle of fusion is quite simple, unlike nuclear fission which separates atoms. Fusion assembles them by fusing one atom of deuterium and another of tritium or helium 3 which releases a phenomenal amount of energy.
