Iona Strike was born to Korean pure-blood Imani Strike and Muggle Edward Strike

Before Iona, Imani and Edward already had 6 other children, their eldest went to Hogwarts and was sorted into the Slytherin house, a few years after Iona was born, he had already graduated to become a Wandmaker and was the one who will make Iona's wand later. Her second oldest brother would have just completed his fifth year in Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.   So Edward was well versed in the world of magic despite being a muggle.
