Pure blood family revival act.

Cultural event

10th May 2010

Since the views on muggles have been lowered and more open during this era, more pure-blood families appear, those who support muggles are shunned by the wizarding community returns, and children can adopt their mother's surname, revealing more purebloods that are hidden through marriage, this however doesn't stop them from still dwindling due to there being more half-bloods and muggle borns and the fact that inbreeding is practiced lesser.

A few families that have been revived through this act: Crouch Avery Lovegoods Scamander Nott Silverwing Gaunt Greengrass Prewett Therison   Families that turned into half-blood families: Ollivander Fawley Flint Rowle Travers   Family line ended (death in the whole family, male or female line, note that descendants may be part of this family in their ancestry but as of 2010 these surnames are unused by anyone): Lestrange Black Bulstrode Burke Carrow Parkinson Rosier Selwyn Shacklebolt Shafiq Yaxley   Pure Blood Families that still live: Malfoy Longbottom Macmillan Slughorn   Note that pure-blood families like Nightingale, Agmen and Prilline are all from other countries but are still considered pure-blood. In China and Japan, they do use this method as a way to keep pure-blood families alive, while in China they are still practising this, in Japan, it is considered an old method and they do not practice this as much as before.
