Imani was expelled for having an affair with a werewolf also called Iona who died protecting her, leaving her heartbroken for years

Imani Min used to be a very powerful witch in Masul Girls academy in Korea, but another student who was jealous of her purposefully exposed her having an affair with another student who is secretly a werewolf. She was protected by the school but the Aurors were involved so they had no choice but to let them take them. However Iona, the werewolf tries to escape with Imani, causing her to die while Imani escapes, due to some strings pulled, she was pardoned but vowed to never return home and made a life for herself in Liverpool.   When she was 30, she met Edward strike and decides to allow herself to fall in love again.
