Evelyn has been trying to find a deadly poison that can kill Gretal after her embarrassing defeat previously and her failed attempts at using voodoo magic to kill her, for 5 years she has been harvesting and testing it on animals and finding the most toxic, she tries it on her friends and family but only could find Lazarus alone so she tested it on him.   Thanks to his training, he manages to keep the symptoms at bay until he could teleport to Gretal, she would block his aura if it wasn't the only thing keeping him alive. Letting him rest in her house and calling Stella to look after him, she travels to the Dragon Haven to find a cure but didn't know that Evelyn was following his teleportation trail, Stella and Evelyn had a little fight but she couldn't do it alone, so called Crystal but she took too long and Lazarus had to help her but in turn had to let go of the spell keeping him alive.   Lucky for him, Gretal has been shown the fountain of youth and teleported him there.
