Necrophast
With an atmosphere that is barely even breathable, and a surface that has been caked in radiation, toxic fauna and regular ecological upheaval, there is scarce a reason many would even want to go to this blasted planet. However, beneath the surface is a network of Pre-Silence ruins of a once great society. During the war in heaven, the planet was one of many that were destroyed in the violence. It was lost for centuries, only rediscovered recently. It has since become a war of influence, as the empire and covenant of man wage a secret war over its influence.
Both are at a stalemate, where they can only make targeted infiltrations onto the surface. Rival teams will often follow each other down, trying to chase down whatever rumor has led them down to the surface. They are both worried about the Musura Federation or the Union of Socialist Systems finding out about the planet, so they only send targeted strike teams down. Though, it is one of the worst kept secrets in the Orion Arm. Various treasure hunters from Pax Familia have found their way onto the planet.
