Tetoka Colony

Tetoka Colony is a Farlian colony located on a planet of the same name. It was one of the first colonies founded by the Farlian refugees after the destruction of their planet and is the oldest Farlian colony around.   The colony is a member of the The Farlian Alliance but for the colony itself, there is a council that runs the colony's government.

Star System

The planet Tetoka -which the colony is located on- is a large moon that orbits a larger uninhabitable gas planet. The planet it orbits is one of seven in its solar system, and the moon itself is the planet’s only moon.

Ecosystem & Geography

The colony proper only takes up a small section of the planet. The non-developed part of the planet remains in its natural form with lots of diverse biomes with those nearest the colony being forest and grasslands. There are a few outposts and small villages associated with the colony in these rural areas.   The colony itself is mostly urban and is mostly contained to one of the planet’s coasts. The planet has been expanding as its population grows but it is still quite small compared to planet cities like Athea.

Regions

Tetoka City

Tetoka City, also called Tetoka Proper, is the core urban area of the colony where most of the action happens. It is home to the government buildings, many of the large businesses, the spaceport, etc, and is basically the downtown area of the colony. It is often considered the unofficial capital of the colony.

City Outskirts

The city outskirts are the fringes of the city's main urban area and are mostly made up of farming households, fields, pastures, and agricultural buildings.

Population

Most of the Population lives in the large urban area that makes up the core of the colony -called Tetoka City- and often lives in apartment-style housing with the more wealthy able to afford penthouses or townhouses that give them more space. The city itself is home to a lot more businesses and infrastructure than the outskirts which tends to have more agricultural businesses.   There are also some more suburban-style neighborhoods, often associated with agricultural work on the city's outskirts. In the rural areas, most people live in small towns and outposts, mostly working in the agriculture industry. In these areas most tend to live in small or medium-sized farmhouses.   Tetoka colony is almost completely populated by Farlians, with only a handful of non-Farlians being present. Most, if not all, of the Non-farlians live in the colony's urban area.

Infrastructure

The colony has some infrastructure but much less than more developed planets and colonies. There are trains and buses that take people around the city but people will often have to take shuttle craft to travel to the less incorporated and rural areas.
