Lizardfolk

Lizardfolk are an ancient and proud race of reptilian humanoids that inhabit the various islands around Sorum. They have a deep connection to the sea and are known to be skilled fishermen and seafarers. Over the past few hundred years, they have spread across Sorum, establishing communities in coastal areas and trading with other races.   One of the most unique abilities of the lizardfolk is their innate connection to magic related to their own bodies. They are one of the few races born with the ability to purify mana from the atmosphere while remaining active and agile. This talent allows lizardfolk to use magic for long periods of time without needing to rest and refill their mana pools. However, the only magic they are able to use is physical enhancement magic that strengthens their bodies. Some rare cases of lizardfolk are able to project a thin layer of very pure mana onto the surface of their bodies as armor.   Lizardfolk also have a unique weapon called the "Katana." This sword was crafted to have a razor-sharp blade that is as strong as steel. The lizardfolk's proficiency with the Katana is well known, and they are feared for their mastery of the weapon in combat.   Despite their fearsome reputation, lizardfolk are a deeply spiritual and honorable people. They believe in the concept of balance and harmony, and they strive to maintain this balance in all aspects of their lives. Lizardfolk communities are led by spiritual leaders known as "shamans," who are revered for their wisdom and connection to the spiritual realm.   In addition to their physical prowess and connection to magic, lizardfolk are also known for their impressive resilience and endurance. They are able to withstand harsh conditions and are well adapted to living in a variety of environments.
