Humans

Humans are one of the most numerous and widespread races in Sorum, with populations found in nearly every corner of the world. Their adaptability and versatility allow them to survive and thrive in a wide range of environments, from the harsh deserts to the frozen tundras. This trait, combined with their natural curiosity and ingenuity, has led them to become the dominant species on the planet.   Humans are highly social creatures, working together to build civilizations and create complex societies. However, this social nature can also lead to conflict and violence, as different groups of humans compete for resources, territory, or power. Wars between human nations have been a constant throughout history, with devastating consequences for all involved.   Despite their lack of innate understanding of nature, humans have a remarkable capacity for learning and insight. They are capable of mastering any skill or discipline with enough dedication and practice, including the use of magic. However, this talent is often spread thin across a wide range of pursuits, making it difficult for humans to excel at any one thing.   Human culture is as diverse as the species itself, with unique traditions, beliefs, and customs found in every human society. However, there are certain shared values and beliefs that are common to many human cultures, such as a reverence for nature, a respect for the power of magic, and a belief in the importance of community and family. These values are often reflected in human religions, which range from polytheistic pantheons to monotheistic faiths.   Despite their dominance, humans are not universally loved or respected. Other races often view them with suspicion or distrust, and tensions between humans and other species have flared up into violence on many occasions throughout history. Nevertheless, humans continue to hold the reins of power in Sorum, with their culture and religion remaining the dominant force in most human societies.
