ome World For the "Greatfalls: The Skies Over Sorti" and "Apokka Wasteland: Below the Clouds Of Sorti" Settings.

The sea of clouds roils and drifts, not unlike calm waves, across the purple tinted skies. Uninhabited islands bob and sway in the distance among the fluffy whiteness as far as the eye can see. The moisture filled fluff lays spread out blanketing and hiding the dark surface below; a forsaken surface world poisoned by a magical cataclysm know as Appoka (or the Wrath).

Survivors of the Appoka, that has morphed the surface of the world into twisted wastelands below the sea of clouds, long ago took to the skies to live on large scale floating magical island cities. The cities in the skies are controlled by royal corporations that organised the races of the world to save them from the Appoka. All the Islands of the skies above are held aloft by either natural magic or large aether engines know as the flotation rings.

Docked in the ports of these cities are boats filled with those courageous (or stupid) enough to sail what is more often then not, the unfriendly skies between the many Islands of Sorti. Rune hauled ships that are held aloft by gravitational magic that takes advantage of the highly concentrated magical particles of aether that permeates the clouds, and the world below. Drifting through the open world as large aether wind magic driven engines push the ships as they sail the broad open endless skies. Ships that take on all shapes and sizes designed each designed for unique and often dangerous jobs ranging from exploration/transportation to raiding/plundering. Their are just as many good reasons as bad to join a montly magical crew and sail the skies over Sorti.
