(1st Level)

Breath of the Depths

You gain resistance to cold damage and can breathe both air and water.
You gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed.
When you successfully cast a spell of 1st level or higher that deals cold or bludgeoning damage, you can move 10 feet through creatures' spaces (this movement does not provoke opportunity attacks, but you must end in an unoccupied space).

Elemental Bond

Your elemental symbiote grants you:

  • Shape Water Cantrip (Enhanced): You learn Shape Water as a cantrip. When you use it, you may have up to two non-instantaneous effects active at once, and you can dismiss one as an action.
  • Water Affinity: You can communicate simple ideas and emotions with water elementals and water-based creatures (like water weirds) at GM discretion.

First Transformation

Your skin takes on a faint blue-green or pale aqua hue and always feels cool and damp, as if you’ve just emerged from water. Your hair begins to undulate softly from root to tip, shifting as though moved by a current.

(5th Level)

Lewai Ni Wai

Your bond deepens, and you may draw on one of the following as an innate magical expression:
Choose one spell: Water Walk, Control Water, Ice Knife, or Ice Storm.
You may cast this spell once per long rest without a casting check, or spend Source Well dice to use it additional times.

Second Transformation

Your skin smoothens, becoming subtly fluid, as if sculpted by water itself. Your eyes darken to deep blue-black, reflecting light like pools at night. Your skin grows cold to the touch, like water that’s just begun to freeze.

(10th Level)

Elemental Mantle

When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, you may surround yourself with a flowing veil of water and ice for 1 minute:

  • Gain resistance to bludgeoning damage from nonmagical weapons.
  • The area within 5 feet of you is difficult terrain for other creatures (as freezing water clings to them).
  • When you deal cold damage, you can reduce the target’s speed by 10 feet until the end of its next turn.

Uses: 1 per long rest, or spend 5 Source Well dice to activate again.

Third Transformation

The change becomes undeniable. Your hair flows constantly as if suspended underwater, and a layer of moisture sits on your skin like the surface of ice. Your voice becomes slightly muffled with a gargle, and your body now feels cold as ice to those who touch you.

(15th Level)

Eye of the Abyss

You and your elemental are one. You are always under the effects of freedom of movement (no concentration).
You can cast tsunami once without a casting check. You regain this ability after a long rest.

Capstone Transformation

You become a living embodiment of water’s power. Currents shift throughout your form, your skin faintly glistens like a thin sheet of ice, and your hair streams and shifts with the unseen tides everytime you use an ability. Your presence chills the air, and your touch is as cold as deep ocean currents.

Water Iere Surge Table

When your magic surges, roll 1d12 to determine the chaotic water or ice effect.

1Burst of Cold: All creatures within 10 ft take cold damage equal to your proficiency bonus (CON save halves).
2Flood Pulse: Water spills in a 10-ft radius, creating difficult terrain until the end of your next turn.
3Icy Chains: One creature within 30 ft must make a STR save or be restrained by ice until the end of its next turn.
4Splashing Shield: You gain +2 AC vs ranged attacks until the end of your next turn.
5Freezing Fog: Light fog lightly obscures a 10-ft radius area centered on you for 1 minute.
6Rainfall Veil: You and allies within 10 ft gain half cover from a brief downpour until the end of your next turn.
7Slippery Ground: The ground in a 10-ft radius is slick; creatures must succeed on a DEX save or fall prone.
8Chilling Aura: Creatures of your choice within 5 ft take cold damage equal to your CON mod at the start of their turn (1 round).
9Wave Surge: Push all creatures within 10 ft 5 feet away from you (STR save negates).
10Ice Fragments: When you deal cold damage this turn, it deals +1 damage per spell level.
11Mirror Pool: You gain advantage on the next Dexterity saving throw you make in the next minute.
12Formless Flow: For 1 round, you can move through creatures' spaces and difficult terrain as if they were unoccupied.
