Usagiri Vorpalblade

The Vorpalblade is a rogue trained in the Usagiri Nibbari tradition—where the blade is both tool and oath, and the duel is a sacred act of enforcement. They blend precision, discipline, and terrifying speed into a combat style rooted in caravan syndicates and honor-bound dealings. Their motions are minimalist. Their attacks are ritual. They are enforcers of the contract—and the consequence.

(3rd Level)

Duel-Step Technique

When you take the Dash action on your turn, you may immediately make two dagger attacks as a bonus action.

  • These attacks must use daggers wielded in separate hands.
  • Daggers are considered rogue weapons for you (qualify for Sneak Attack, subclass effects, etc.).
  • You may draw or stow a dagger as part of any movement or attack on your turn (no action required).
  • You have advantage on Sleight of Hand checks made to conceal daggers on your person.

Every motion serves a purpose. Even the way they walk is part of the fight.

Business is Honor

Once per short or long rest, when you make a Persuasion or Intimidation check related to:

  • enforcing a code,
  • collecting a debt,
  • or upholding a clan pact,

you may roll your Sneak Attack damage dice and add the total to your ability check.

(6th Level)

Veins of Wind and Iron

Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.

You also gain:

Iron Vein

While wielding daggers in both hands, you can use your reaction to parry a melee weapon attack that hits you.
Reduce the damage by:

Dexterity modifier + half your Rogue level

(10th Level)

Duelist’s Grace

When wielding two daggers and not using a shield, you gain the following benefits:

  • If you hit a creature with both daggers on your turn, you may impose one of the following effects (once per turn):
  • Disarm – Target makes a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + DEX mod + proficiency) or drops a held item.
  • Hamstring – Target’s speed is halved until the end of its next turn.
  • Pressure Strike – Target has disadvantage on its next attack before your next turn.
  • You also gain advantage on Initiative rolls when both hands are holding concealed weapons.

(14th Level)

Supreme Vorpalblade

You are the perfected edge of Usagiri style:

  • While wielding two daggers:
  • They count as magical weapons.
  • When you have advantage on the attack, you deal an extra +1d6 damage on the hit.
  • When you take the Dash action, you may:
  • Make two dagger attacks (as normal), and
  • Take the Disengage or Hide action as part of the same turn (no action required).
  • You may now draw, stow, or swap a dagger as a reaction once per round.

The enemy sees only a blur, then a blooming scar. The deal is enforced. The breeze moves on.
