The Sacred Edge

Forging under oath and silence, the Sacred Edge Artificers walk the line between weapon master and divine craftsman. Inspired by the techniques of Yorukan blade sages and echoing lost Forger-Chants recovered from Sonu’s underdeep, these artisans believe that only through perfect use can one discover perfect design. Their blades are not tools, but truths given form.

The Path of the Sacred Edge is one of discipline, meditation, and continual refinement. It is widely taught among the Soulforgers of Sonu and increasingly respected by both warrior orders and crafting halls.

(3rd Leve)

Soul of the Blade

Through hours of focused labor and silent intention, you create your Sacred Weapon during a long rest—a melee weapon with which you are proficient. This weapon becomes an extension of your will and your spellcasting focus.

  • It is considered magical and unbreakable unless dismantled through a ritual.
  • It can hold two infusions at once, rather than one.
  • If the weapon is lost or destroyed, you may ritually reconstruct it over a long rest using smith’s tools.

You also gain proficiency with smith’s tools if you don’t already have it.

(5th Level)

Edge of Resonance

You have learned to strike in rhythm with an enemy’s core, disrupting body and mind.

  • Once per turn when you deal damage with your Sacred Weapon, you can force the target to make a Constitution saving throw (DC = your artificer spell save DC).
  • On a failure, they suffer disadvantage on their next attack roll or saving throw before the end of your next turn (your choice).

Additionally, you add the following spells to your Artificer spell list:

  • Branding Smite
  • Warding Bond

(10th Level)

Forgemind Meditation

Through inward clarity, you restore not only your tools, but your spirit.

  • As a 1-minute ritual, you can fully restore all infused items in your possession and regain 2 expended infusion uses.
  • You also gain resistance to psychic damage, and advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

(15th Level)

Edge Beyond Form

When the moment demands it, your Sacred Weapon reveals its truest shape—flawless, fearsome, and transcendent.

Once per long rest, you may activate your Sacred Weapon’s true form for 1 minute. While active:

  • It deals an additional 1d10 force damage on every hit.
  • You may cast Steel Wind Strike once without expending a spell slot or material components.
  • Allies within 10 feet of you gain +1 to AC and saving throws while they can hear the hum of your weapon’s divine resonance.
