Shadow Envoy

Shadow Envoys are elite infiltrators trained in both social and lethal deception. They are saboteurs, diplomats, and killers in equal measure, executing missions where charm is as sharp as the blade. Whether unraveling political conspiracies or eliminating targets with surgical precision, they work unseen, unknown, and often unremembered.

(3rd Level)

Mask of Many Faces

You gain proficiency in Disguise Kit and Deception if you don’t already have them.

You can create a convincing false identity over the course of 1 hour, allowing you to pass as another individual (name, job, background, etc.). Creatures must succeed on an Insight check contested by your Deception to see through the disguise.

Also, you can speak, read, and write two additional languages of your choice.

Silent Execution

You excel at preemptive strikes. When you hit a surprised creature with a weapon attack, the attack is a critical hit.

Additionally, if you deal Sneak Attack damage to a creature that hasn’t acted yet in combat, they have disadvantage on their next saving throw before the start of your next turn.

(6th Level)

Tactical Subterfuge

You can use the Help action as a bonus action, and you can do so from 30 feet away if the target can hear or see you.

In addition, when you use the Help action to aid an ally in attacking a creature, that ally can add your Charisma modifier to their attack roll.

(10th Level)

 Ghost Protocol

You have advantage on Deception checks made to maintain a cover identity or lie about your allegiance.

Also, whenever you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a Sneak Attack, you may choose to vanish into obscurity: you become invisible until the end of your next turn, or until you make an attack or cast a spell.

(14th Level)

Master of Shadows and Schemes

You become an apex agent, able to manipulate both blade and battlefield.

  • You score a critical hit on a surprised creature with Sneak Attack on a roll of 19 or 20.
  • Once per short rest, you can deliver a strategic strike: When you hit with a Sneak Attack, choose one:
  • The target is incapacitated until the end of its next turn.
  • The target’s movement speed becomes 0 and it can’t take reactions until the start of your next turn.
  • One ally who can see you can immediately take the Help action as a reaction.
