Reapers
Raised in the living wilds of the Ayanigbo, these warriors are defenders of balance, storm, and sacred rage. Known as Reapers, they master the double glaive, a polearm that can split into twin blades when wrath must become relentless. Their role is not conquest, but correction, and they are trained alongside Venom Wardens and Circle of Wrath druids to ensure the forest’s vengeance falls swift and clean.
Some Reapers were orphaned by fire or war; others were born of the wilds, but all are marked by nature’s blessing and the instinct to act without hesitation.
(3rd Level)
Twin of Root and Storm
You have trained with the sacred double glaive, which mirrors nature’s duality, rooted and raging.
- You gain proficiency with Nature and either Acrobatics or Survival.
- You master the Double Glaive, a unique polearm granted only to Reapers:
- While wielded two-handed, it functions as a glaive with the Parry weapon mastery.
- As a bonus action, you may split it into two curved glaive-blades (treat as shortswords with the versatile property; 1d8 slashing or piercing damage).
- While dual wielding the split form, you may add your ability modifier to off-hand attacks, even without the Dual Wielder feat.
- You can choose to deal piercing or slashing damage with each strike.
Spelltwist Guard
Your blade dances in the air to shield you from magic.
- As a reaction, when a creature you can see targets you with a spell attack or you are forced to make a Dexterity saving throw vs. a spell, you may spin your double glaive or blades in a rapid flourish, disrupting the magic.
- Roll a d6 and add your Proficiency Bonus. Subtract the result from the attack roll or add it to your saving throw.
- If the attack misses or the save succeeds, you may move 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.
You may use this feature Proficiency Bonus times per long rest.
(6th Level)
Wild Wrath Techniques
You channel the primal essence of the Ayanigbo into your strikes.
- You learn two Wrath Techniques from the list below. You gain another at 10 and 14. Activate one once per turn as part of an attack.
Wrath Techniques:
- Tangleroot Lash: On hit, the target’s speed is halved until the start of your next turn.
- Spore Jolt: On hit, the target must succeed a Constitution save (DC = 8 + Prof + Wis) or be Poisoned until end of its next turn.
- Lashing Branches: After hitting a target, you may make one additional attack against a different creature within 5 ft.
- Feral Dash: Immediately after taking the Attack action, you may move up to 15 feet through difficult terrain without penalty.
- Howl of the Grove: Once per turn when you reduce a creature to 0 HP, choose an ally within 15 feet; they gain temporary HP equal to your Fighter level.
(10th Level)
Verdant Stance
Your defensive mastery is deeply rooted, like the trees that birthed your blade.
- While wielding your double glaive in two hands:
- You gain +1 AC and advantage on saving throws against being moved or knocked prone.
- While dual wielding:
- You gain +10 feet of movement, and your opportunity attacks gain advantage.
- Additionally, you have advantage on saves vs. poison and disease, and resistance to poison damage.
(14th Level)
Balancebreaker Bloom
The land’s fury awakens when you choose to end the threat.
- As a bonus action, you may unleash the full wrath of the Ayanigbo for 1 minute:
- Your Wrath Techniques activate on every hit, not just once per turn.
- You can switch between glaive and dual wielding as a free action.
- Enemies within 5 feet of you at the start of your turn must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + Prof + Strength mod) or be slowed (half speed, no reactions) until your next turn.
- Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest—or expend your Action Surge to activate it again.
