Path of the Beast-Kin
(Abnamalian Exclusive)
“The beast is not beneath us. It is within us, beside us, above us.”
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Beast-Kin allow their bodies to physically transform under the guidance of ancestral spirits. These warriors are chosen, not merely fighters, but vessels of the old beasts. Whether they channel the swiftness of the feline, the loyalty of the canine, or the strength of the ursine, their rage reshapes them into something primal, sacred, and terrifying.
(3rd Level)
Awakened Kinform
When you enter a rage, your form shifts, claws split your fingers, fur may sprout, or your teeth elongate. You choose one Beast Aspect each time you rage (or retain your previous one until you change it after a long rest).
You also grow natural weapons during this rage:
- Your unarmed strikes deal 1d8 + Strength mod and are considered mastered weapons with the Flex property.
- You can use either Strength or Dexterity to hit.
Feline (Windwhisker Kin)
- +10 ft movement
- Opportunity attacks against you are made at disadvantage
- When you move 10 ft or more before attacking, deal +1d4 slashing damage
Canine (Moonclaw Kin)
- Allies within 10 ft gain advantage on saves vs charm/fear
- Once per turn when you hit a target within 5 ft of an ally, deal +1d6 piercing damage
Ursine (Thundermaw Kin)
- At start of each turn while raging, gain temporary HP = Con mod
- Deal +1d8 bonus damage to creatures larger than you or with more HP
(6th Level)
Beast Sense
- Advantage on initiative, Perception, Insight, and Survival
- You can track creatures by scent and identify beasts via signs
- You gain a climbing or swimming speed (your choice each long rest) equal to your movement speed
- While raging, you can see invisible or hidden creatures within 10 ft
(10th Level)
Kin's Reflex
- When a creature within 5 ft of you targets an ally with an attack, you may make an opportunity attack against that creature as a reaction.
- You may apply your weapon’s mastery property on this reaction, even if you've already used one this turn.
- If the attack hits, the target has disadvantage on the triggering attack.
(14th Level)
Apex Manifestation
While raging, you gain the full power of your beast-spirit:
Feline: Windwalker Ambush
- You may Dash or Disengage as a bonus action
- You crit on 19–20 against any creature who hasn’t acted yet this round
Canine: Pack Alpha Surge
- When an ally within 15 ft hits a creature you've damaged this turn, they deal bonus damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus
- Creatures frightened or charmed by any source have disadvantage on saves against your Rage or subclass effects
Ursine: Unbroken Might
- While under half HP, gain resistance to all damage types
When you hit a creature with less HP than you, they must save or be knocked prone
