Executioner
Among the floating beast-ships of the Oni Flotilla, the Executioners are living legends, giant-slayers, beast-butchers, and dragon-wrestlers. They train from youth to read the rhythms of colossi and crush them with brutal, coordinated strikes. An Executioner fights with deliberate force, waiting for the perfect moment to shatter bone, tear tendon, or split scale.
These warriors are not subtle. They are the answer to monsters.
(3rd level)
Titan Mark
Your strikes punish massive foes, and your instincts know how to bring giants low.
- Colossus Killer: When you hit a creature two or more sizes larger than you with a weapon attack, you deal +1d6 damage once per turn. This bonus damage increases to +2d6 if the creature is also at full HP.
- Execution Mark (1/turn): When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you may mark it for execution (no action required). Until the end of your next turn:
- You have advantage on opportunity attacks against that creature.
- If that creature moves or attacks someone else, you may use your reaction to make a melee attack against it.
- You gain proficiency in Animal Handling or Intimidation, and in one artisan’s tool used for preserving trophies (skinning, carving, smithing, etc.).
(6th Level)
Breaker’s Posture
You plant yourself like a mountain, waiting for the perfect opening.
- When you take the Ready action to make a melee weapon attack, you gain the following benefits until the start of your next turn:
- You have resistance to all bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from Large or larger creatures.
- Your readied attack, if it hits, becomes a critical hit against creatures of size Large or larger.
- Additionally, when you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, its movement is reduced to 0 until the end of the turn.
(10th Level)
Pulverize
You target weak points with monstrous precision, even through armor, scale, or bone.
- When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you may choose to Pulverize:
- The attack ignores resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning, slashing, or piercing damage.
- If the creature is Huge or larger, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + Prof + Strength mod) or be knocked prone.
- You may use Pulverize a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus per long rest.
(14th Level)
Execution Chain
When your prey falters, you break the line wide open.
- Once per turn, when you reduce a Large or larger creature to 0 HP, or score a critical hit against one:
- You may immediately make another melee weapon attack against a creature within reach.
- This follow-up attack gains advantage and deals extra damage equal to your Fighter level if it hits.
- While in combat with a Huge or larger creature, you may use your Action Surge to automatically regain one use of Pulverize (instead of taking an additional action, your choice).
