Circle of Wrath

"We do not call the wild. We are the wild."

Druids of the Circle of Wrath don’t stand apart from nature’s fury, they become it. They channel their Spirit Beast inward, transforming into avatars of claw, fang, and fury, embodying nature’s most dangerous predators. Your Spirit Beast form can appear as any natural predator (wolf, bear, tiger, crocodile, giant raptor, etc.), but the stat block remains the same , only the flavor of the attack type (slashing/piercing/bludgeoning) and movement may change.

Subclass Features

3rd Level

Avatar of Fury

  • When you would summon a Spirit Beast, you instead Wild Shape into it. You no longer summon an external Spirit Beast; your body becomes the beast.
  • Each time you use Wild Shape, you choose the form of your Spirit Beast (appearance, adaptations: e.g., tusked beast, scaled terror). This is a primal spirit form, not tied to specific beasts or CRs.

You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing from nonmagical attacks.

At this level, you can’t yet fly in this form (Level 10).

6th Level

Bloodthirst

  • When you reduce a creature to 0 HP with your Primal Strike, you can immediately make another Primal Strike as part of the same action (1/turn).
  • While in Spirit Beast form, you score a critical hit on a 19 or 20.

10th Level

Winged Wrath

  • You can choose a Spirit Beast form with flight (fly 40 ft).
  • Your movement can’t be reduced by magical difficult terrain or magical restraints while in Spirit Beast form.

14th Level

Apex Predator

  • Your Primal Strike damage increases to 2d10 + Wis mod + proficiency bonus.
  • While in Spirit Beast form:
  • Your speed increases by 10 ft (all movement types).
  • Your critical hit range improves to 18–20.
  • When you take the Attack action, you can make two Primal Strikes (instead of one).

Eternal Network

Your Mycelium Field persists until you dismiss it or create a new one (no more long rest limit).

  • The Mycelium Field alters you: you can't be blinded, deafened, frightened, or poisoned, and any critical hit against you counts as a normal hit instead, unless you're incapacitated.
  • When reduced to 0 HP inside your field, you may instead drop to 1 HP (1/long rest).
