Oroboros
Many are confused by Oroboros. They go, hey! What did that guy do that's so special!... That's because he doesn't DO survivors.Oroboros (Ore-rob-a-rus) story is often joked about as being too simple. That he lost his son, (Jormungandr) and went mad. But the truth is far more sinister and truly reflective of the warped, monstrous, and distorted creature he is. Oroboros didn't go mad from this or that, nor did he even get in contact with Shi. He just very simply; was a horrible human being who liked being horrible. Assault in all its various forms, murder, and other heinious crimes built a mysterious profile. He was a prolific serial killer who had boldly hired adventurers (Seren, Nox, Ariadnae, and Eryx) to seek out individuals seeking to thwart him and his affairs, but overstepped his bounds by an attempted assault on Seren; leading to Nox breaking his nose and escorting the party elsewhere. His distorted value holds no value to humanoid life, and it seems it is only his offspring, Jormungandr, he was trying to groom to be just like him, hence his mercy and facination with the boy. Oroboros finds all of this evil as 'fun' and derives a sick pleasure out of it, and was the torturerer and executioner for the entire organization. He would make an individuals life a living hell until they expired, and did so with a passive dismissal to empathy that was alien in and of itself. He was recorded as having some sort 'interest' in Red Cleaver, more along the lines of that of a pet and a master even though Red Cleaver was arguably far more powerful than him with his horrific abilities and ability to make, produce, and expand upon Subete'No'Shi's plan. However, Red Cleaver naively often calls out to him, trusting him far more than others of the organization to deal with issues, and when disturbances meet him.
The Veilflame Reaper
He is often referred to as 'The Veilflame Reaper.' While unlike generals and underlings who were just expected to destroy planets, essence pools and so on, and then move to the next stage, Oroboros' motif was torturing planets and wiping them completely and utterly from history. As seen through Leshen, where people were forced to consume acidic abberancy just to survive leading everyone from that planet to have a vague attunement to it. He would focus on the Leylines first, destroying them save for one to be able to get in and out. From there he would simply meander the landscape. Some cultures would see him as a god, and at first it would really seem like he was a charming alien god, parleying with native divinities. Since he could not be hurt unless he struck first, he generally took his sweet time. From there he would get involved romantically potentially in any number of individuals, only for that romance to slowly tick into abuse, and then outright vile behavior. From there, torture would be the next step, and finally when whomever he was charming would be ready to tell the others of their pantheon, they would simply behead them, consume their soul, and use the residual powers produced by the veilflame to slaughter through the pantheon like a snowball effect. From there the people of the planet were free game, and great atrocities, generally genocides were committed for his own amusement. When he was done, he would exit via the last leyline and cut in on the way out, ensuring that the entire planet and civilization would be planet-locked and have a slow but inevitable, painful, death. Veilflame, or the burning of souls, or Soulfire, is a dark magical practice involving utterly destroying a soul in exchange for massive amounts of power. The practice is not well understood, and to learn how to harness it is not just legendary; it is nearly unheard of, only being given via eldritch entities like Shi, and the 'Deep Dreamlands' entites.
True Form.
The truest form of Oraboros is that of a contorted snake like entity with a long twisted bosy and a hundred malformed bug like heads blooming off of it similar to a creature inflicted with blight.
Presented Form. Oroboros' abilities mainly lay with that of prolonged torture. Red Cleaver has instant executions, but does not throw them around willy-nilly. As seen from Yugen's experience with his torture and murder of Seren, he would stab through various parts of his victims with lethal efficiency, only to cause more pain. Taunting and telling them what horrible things they are going to do to their corpse, children, and so on. What gives Oroboros' such a edge is that he has a strange, alien and warping shield around him. If he does not attack you first, you can not damage him. Giving him plenty of time to decide on his course of action, watching silently and stalking after similar to a reaper, before exhausting you via fear, and then making the killing move.
