Fracture
"Why won't you let me end it. Why won't you give in to end this madness? Primordial Nature stands infront of you, crying out in pain, and yet you still fight the natural course. You deserve what happens to you all. I despise you all. My one mistake was allowing you to live. To trust you would care for the natural order."Fracture, or The Horned God, is a Primordial who is complex in origin. Also known as 'Primordial Father', 'The Horned God' or 'Wild Father'. He was the entity which aided in the births of Primordials from a force known as 'The Kaos' as seen in the 'true birth' of Lesser Lord Ἀλέξανδρος. (Alexandros). Alongside his wife; The Triple Goddess, they brought entities into this world which would further the rule of Primordials. An forever unborn primordial child laid eternally within the Triple Goddess; which was aborted forcefully by the Lazurnians during 'The Butchering'. An ancient primordial who had a great injustice done against him, has turned his ire on humanity through domain over all living things. The supposed story is when he was young, Fracture was a entity by the name of The Horned God. He was a life and nature god, one who held dominion over the land, the seasons, nature, and the mind. Favoring the flower of daisies. He is known as The Horned God, Greater Primordial Lord Herne, and Herne the Hunter. The Lazurnians, the entities that served as the first and most ancient race, had been gifted sentience by the horned god, but soon turned against him, and hunted him in a greed for power. They used his body through their advanced magical technology to power their most ingenious invention, of a false ascensional being into what would be a alchemical primordial god. However, as the Horned God was a being who died in order to bring about the changing seasons, his brief death was going to cyle and be reborn much to everyones surprise. However when he awoke, he awoke to find his body mangled with nothing left but a severed floating conciousness in a cage. While a new governmental body had moved in and took control of him after the people overthrew the individuals who did this, the damage was done, and the triple moon goddess and his child laid dead in an attempt to right the wrong by creating new false gods. Their efforts did nothing but to enrage the primordial more. It is said that reality shuddered as it cracked, sending massive shockwaves across existence. The Lazurnians fled in panic, but as his parts began to rebel against them, they were locked away deep, causing the conciousness of Fracture to shatter, like one who lost their sanity would. His soul broken beyond repair, spawning a slew of what are called 'Sub-Lords', or as we know them 'Olden Flesh.' Awoken in the modern day through curious and greedy mortals delving to where they never should have, the Ancient God has been free for just a blip. But he is numb, cold, and bitter. Stuck in his perpetual winter season, and hellbent on regardless of all else, ending all sentient life that was descended from his original mistake, and who delights in the pleasures of Divinity's Original Sin.
While his thought process seems animalistic, there lies a hidden genius deep within. Showing a strange paradoxical patience of keeping the secret for billions of years of his return, only to spill the truth very rapidly over a couple of weeks. His manipulation is one most insidious, of a dear lover or friend, with ill intentions. Yet glimmers of love still show in him yet for creatures born of the Kaos like Far Spawn, just not for anyone born of mortal flesh. Though realitively powerless right now, for every part of himself he reclaims the more dangerous he grows. At the current time, his reclaimed parts are the following.
Reclaimed Parts
- Conciousness. This reclaimed part seemingly giving him the ability to think and operate. It is what was released by the diviner Ammeriam when she was treasure hunting. He holds control over an individuals sanity, and their position in reality can be shuffled by exposure to him for too long. It also allows him to show his body as a specter made up of his own conciousness.
- Breath. This reclaimed part seemingly giving him the ability to do a massive cone breath of a lifestealing aura that he can then proceedingly heal himself from when he inhales again.
- Tears. This reclaimed part is unknown what ability it gives him.
- Skull. When coupled with his breath, has the ability to summon the Wild Hunt via use of a hunting horn, a force of Primordial Winter which hunt vestiges for him, and steal people to the Otherworld.
- Voice. His song can turn a man insane. It was traded back to him when he kidnapped Sabreal and used him for ransom.
- Unknown Bauble. Given to the Lazarus enforcer to deliver to the horned god as a means of shutting off the faulty Shadow Song bomb that galaxian had set.
Known/Secured Parts
- Blood Pint(1/?). Found powering a light-house like contraption in the abyss, Rex when transposed there for a while, found one. When touching the glass it drove him crazy and nearly caused him to die. It is thought that this toxic blood when drawn will be extremely hard for individuals to stay within close range with him for long.
Antlered Crown and Standing Stone.
(A ancient tune passed down from the first creatures sung in tribute to The Horned God.)
I am the face within the leaves
I am the voice within the trees
I am boy, I am man
The face of the changing land
And I have been your constant guide
From your caves on the mountainside
We have walked hand in hand
Everywhere that I have been
My passing turns the grey to green
The birds sing to the dawn
And the land has awoken
Now my Lady lays with me
Our love weaves its tapestry
Eternal threads, unbroken
I am lover, I am father
I am Horned God and King
I’m the life in all of Nature
That is reborn every Spring
Call of stag and cry of eagle
I am Child of Barleycorn
And I am the Antlered Crown and Standing Stone!
I am the oats, the corn and grain
A bearded man with a crooked cane
Cut me down, I must die
For the land to be born again
But don’t you cry and don’t you grieve
For soon the Wild Hunt I will lead
On the night of Samhain
The air is cold
The sky is grey
Where am I this Winter’s day
Bones of trees, fallen leaves
The time of the Winter Queen
But through the wind and snow and rain
Know a part of me remains
The Holly stands, evergreen.
