THE COSMOPOLITES.

  The Seentriaese are the people who made their home in the temperate region of Seentria. Their culture advanced rapidly due to the abundance of resources and the merciful climate that the land provided them, and they were the largest and most extensive kingdoms known to exist. Eventually, from their lands emerged the Dawnian Empire, which spreaded across the continent and made contact with almost all the other cultures, starting the Age of Rebirth. Nowadays, said empire has long since crumbled, but its descendants still hold much sway over outer realms; if not through militarism, through trade and religion.  

BIOLOGY.

Cosmopolites are possessed of long, narrow faces with flat facial profiles and sharply angled noses, almond-shaped eyes, and rounded brows. They boast of a greatly varied eye color pool, going from dark colors like dark-brown to clear ones like blue and green. They are physically less-imposing than other ethnicities around Somnium, with shorter limbs and height, though they do possess a better distributed weight. Seentriaese hair varies little in texture, being mostly smooth and fine rather than coarse. While it is common to see a blond or ginger Seentriaese, these hair colors are more commonly seen in the Craftford-Islander variant.  

CULTURE.

The Seentriaese are a well-spoken and educated people, with many great philosophers, scientists, or other highly successful scholars in the modern Age of Progress claiming Seentriaese descent. Their intelligence has been put to good use over the centuries, developing disciplined and well-trained armies that swept over the continent, then being the master-minds behind the creation of ships capable of withstanding the currents of the seas around Somnium. Since then, they have used their intelligence and well-developed education to further their economic needs, converting themselves into shrewd, rich traders.   In the past, the Seentriaese were deeply religious, and the Order of Light was the main religion during the rule of the Dawnian Empire. However, this changed when the Empire fell apart, and there are now many religions based on the original Order scattered across the continent. Though there are still many religious Seentriaese, faith has not had the same sway it had since the fall of the Empire, and even the concept of Chivalry created by the Order of Light has since lost much of its meaning and power; many smaller religions now claim to be able to Knight men, and the title does not mean much anymore.   Seentriaese can be highly prejudiced and judgemental when it comes to bodily appearance and beauty, as it is held with great importance in their society. There are many standards for appearance within Seentriaese nations, and it may be confusing for outsiders to even try to fathom how they work. A woman, to be considered beautiful, has to have a high forehead, small eyebrows and white, even teeth. Fair complexions are appreciated in both genders. Males are to have large, strong chests and it is even accepted of them to have bulky, prominent stomachs as they age. While appreciated in men, body hair is shameful in women.
