Shorewydd
The newly hatched World-Turtle Shorewydd was entrusted to the care of the Karnian Royal Family in ages past. He has swum freely off the shores of Karnes for centuries, growing from the size of a rowboat to the size of a small island. When he learned of the fall of the Royal House he personally ferried Prince Alric and Princess Fidelia into exile in Salissia , seeing them safely to their distant kin.
As the resistance against the Morin Regime became organized they needed a safe, secure base from which to operate and Shorewydd offered his services. The Village has grown and matched pace with Shorewydd's own rapid expansion, attracting refugees, mercenaries, former Karnian soldiers and tradespeople and farmers to provide for them all.
Shorewydd is very communicative and inquisitive for a World-Turtle but his unique form of telepathic communication is difficult for most mortal minds to comprehend. Only a few intuitive individuals and some of the more highly trained spellcasters are capable of hearing Shorewydd's thoughts clearly.
