Minotaur Monorail

The Minotaur is a monorail system connecting most of the islands and districts of Edison city. The Monorail runs from 5am in the morning to 11pm each day and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. Minotaur two way monorail system makes transportation within and across all districts extremely fast,

The Routes

The Minotaur has 4 lines in operation. The Ring Line, that circles around Edison Island connecting most of the Wall and Stormpeak district. Barrogate-Terrawatch Line going from Barrogate to Terrawatch via Solspire Central Station, The Long Journey line, starting from Solspire Central to Volirath, Rookhelm, Etherdrift, Gravenfall and circles back to Solspire central and finally the Short Journey which takes the same journey as the Long Journey but Bypasses the Volirath Stations.

Maintenance Depots

The Minotaur two-way system is maintained by 3 depots that make sure that Edison's fastest transportation system remains in top shape throughout the year. Hammerfall in Edison Island, Talisend in Terrawatch and Southport station in Ehterdrift all have secondary, staff-only stations that the bullets of the Minotaur are cleaned, repaired and inspected each night.

Controversy

Due to the high price or the ticket only a rather small portion of the population (mostly the middle and upper class) can pay. Most lower class workers that have to move between districts need to use the ferries or the underwater tubes (if one is available)

The Minotaur in many cases has become a clear signpost for the class division in Edison and gave rise to phrases like the "Minotaur Riders" (meaning the rich and "The Rats" for everyone that is using the on-sea and underground systems.
