Hexacron Explorers Society

Pioneers of the Known World

The Hexacron Society was an ancient and prestigious order of explorers, navigators, and adventurers founded in Alada approximately 160 years before the opening of The Great Temple of Alada. Revered in both myth and fact, the Society was responsible for laying the groundwork of modern geography, undertaking daring voyages to chart the continents of Altia, Tairn, and Zefir, as well as the remote and scattered Leishtan Archipelago.

The society derived its name from the enigmatic Hexacron—a mysterious, multi-faceted artifact that acted as both a symbol of membership and invitation to join. Some claimed it was a compass unlike any other, while others believed it held properties that could reveal hidden paths across land and sea. To be entrusted with a Hexacron was to be initiated into a world of peril, prestige, and purpose.

At its height in 250 AF, the Hexacron Society boasted over 200 active members, many of whom became legends in their own right. Their detailed maps and journals formed the cartographic foundations of many emerging kingdoms and empires, and their stories filled the great libraries and halls of nobility.

But then, as if swallowed by the very unknowns they sought to conquer, the Society began to vanish. One by one, expeditions ceased returning. By 287 AF, the last known member was declared missing, and the Society faded from public life. The headquarters in Alada were eventually sold to the Tolmici family, and little remains of the once-great halls that had launched generations into the unknown.

Today, only fragments of their legacy survive—faded charts, scattered references in noble archives, and of course, the rare Hexacron devices, which have become coveted relics among collectors and historians. Some whisper that the Society still exists in secret, guiding a new generation of seekers from the shadows. Others believe they uncovered something they were never meant to find. Whatever the truth, the Hexacron Society lives on in the bones of maps and the echoes of forgotten voyages, its true impact etched into the very structure of the world.
