The Fountain of Memories
They no longer reflect history but they reflect places, only briefly before the sun rises onto its water. I have corroborated most of these basins to be planes known to be discovered, except for one. I have great interest in what this world is, which is why you are here. When the waxing moon is perfectly situated the pool will change and you will go through it.
At the cliffs edge of the Lost Peak, you see a rope ladder that leads down to a ledge in the falls and before the pools below. The grassy ledge spills out to multiple luminescent pools that flow into the dense, overgrown forest, on closer inspection you can see different landscapes in their reflections.
Session 1
The Fountain of Memories is a waterfall that connects down stream to multiple rock pools of varying sizes. In their reflections they depict images of the past history of Faerun or occasionally the visions of a personal archive of events from an individual of Faerun.
That is until, as discovered by Mr Qanit Phobes and Wensle, the 6th waxing moon in the years lunar cycle. When the drawing of the moon (twilight) reaches just before setting, the pools reflections change entirely to mirror the landscape and environment of various planes in existence.
There are 13 pools in the location of the Fountain of Memories, the party successfully identified the following 12:
1. Tarterus - the prison of gods and spiritual traitors, split from Mount Olympus by the gods to trap in the titans.
2. Elysium - the rolling fields of which it’s lower islands are home to veteran heroes of good to relax for eternity.
3. Arcadia - the hive-city, the home of the ant-like formians.
4. The Beastlands - where the native animal inhabitants are all capable of speech, comparable to humans in range of their intellect.
5. Mount Celestia - The Silver Heaven, the mountain journey for pilgrims and paladins who seek to make themselves worthy of ascendancy amongst their own.
6. Acheron - home to the constant battles and wars without meaning, cubes crash together floating through the abyss.
7. Unidentifed
8. Limbo - a bubbling soup of element and energy, leaving any who enter lost in its chaos, unable to find the way out.
9. Unidentified, the pool the party entered - grasslands, red sand, rivers running off a cliffside town, a heavy, mossy forest, something grey in the distance, swamp or marsh possibly. A large woman's face encased in stone.
10. Mechanus - the home of Law and Order and equal measurement of everything.
11. Arborea - home to boisterous creatures, strong emotions, fast burning passion, full of bravado, rage and joy.
12. Pandemonium - A place of madness, darkness and deafening winds. Where Chaos turns sick and damaged, becoming demented and deranged.
13. Nine Hells - better known by its simplified name Hell. Ruled by Asmodeus the Overlord of the demon plane.

“ As you arrived at my mountain home, you may have noticed the falls down the slope of the South side, yes? Well since I settled here many years ago I have been researching its pools at the bottom. They have been rumoured to be magical pools that reflect the view of Faeruns past, whether that is a recent, long past or personal history of the viewer. It was also rumoured that the fountain's powers linked to the legend of the powers of Shiallia, the dancing god of the korred. I have been able to identify and discover that both of these accusations are fable.
The fountains attributed to the Lady of the woods is in a glade in Silverymoon, anyone who knows basic lore of deities and gods would know this, silly rumours, made up. Now I have verified that the fountains found here are indeed known as the Fountains of Memory and they do in fact show a past of a person or of Faerun but that is not why you are here.
I have not entered the pools myself and neither has dear Wensle however we have tracked the reflections of these pools for 3 years now, a year for the sunrise and mornings, a year for the mid-days and a year for the noon and nights and we have discovered that only on the twilight dawn of the 6th Waxing Moon, the pools change.
They no longer reflect history but they reflect places, only briefly before the sun rises onto its water. I have corroborated most of these basins to be planes known to be discovered, except for one.
