Objective

Investigate the reflection of the Stagford Moonwell

Observations

Fenster is not a fan of Kisarana.
Ravens are taking a more active interest in the soldiers roaming the shadowfell. Their allegiance is still unknown.
Woodland creatures seem to be linked to the moonwell and do the bidding of Fenster.
The reflection of the Stagford Moonwell is a large graveyard, seemingly for a civilization distantly related to the Netherese.
A prophesy was written on a tablet outside the central crypt.
The fortress of the shadowfell can appear anywhere and on a whim.

Follow up

Return to the crypt and investigate the prophecy further.

Preparation Details

Fenster was told to expect our visit and the compass was passed into my hands.

Operation Details

Zorky was in a hole when we came out of the barracks. After some work, we managed to extract him and instructed him to alert the Jims to the Sinkhole. We left shortly after and proceeded to the moonwell via the Compass.
While travelling in the border plane, a raven landed on Baenor's shoulder. I closed the compass to shunt us back to the material plane, but it seems that I was not fast enough to prevent some members of the party from being afflicted by some kind of illusion magics. Erik and Sketch seem to see ravens roosting wherever they look.
After some more walking in the material plane, we made our way to the temple that Fenster preaches at. As he ended his Sermon, we went to talk and he lectured us about various things. One of the big things mentioned was his distaste for Kisarana, saying that song dragons should be feared. He also told us to do whatever we were going to do outside.
The compass seemed to malfunction slightly when we went across and we found ourselves shunted directly into the shadowfell proper. We were at the entrance to a graveyard. Investigation of the graveyard found a script that wasn't overly familiar, but Lark seemed to have some vague recognition. A large number of names were inscribed on the graves, seemingly titled ancient beings. In the distance, a large crypt loomed over the rest of the graveyard, a red glow emanating from the ground around it.
Approaching the crypt, we found a tablet etched with some unknown language. Lark believes it to be related to Netherese. The tablet, when translated, seemed to contain a prophesy foretelling the fate of Ravenloft. After recording the prophesy, we elected to leave the graveyard to interpret it and determine next steps. Attempting to leave proved quite difficult as the fortress was waiting for us at the edge of the graveyard. We elected to flee, where we were confronted by some kind of shadow drake. It was Harrowing, but we were able to flee in the nick of time.
Arriving back, a tear had been created in the field where we first went through. We volunteered to stay behind and provide security to Fenster while he closed the tear.
