Northern Reconstruction 4: Clear the Snow

 

Objective

Go North and lend a hand with whatever is needed.    

Observations

Shoveling snow sucks. Fimpton went down (we think).  

Follow up

The path to the capital wasn’t completely cleared, so that may still need doing.  

Preparation Details

No prep was necessary beyond grabbing a few shovels.  

Operation Details

Major Rem gave us a pretty straightforward mission - go north, and help with whatever needs doing.       We were teleported to the embassy, where we were instructed to meet up with a group on the path to the capital to..shovel snow. We were given some shovels, and sent up with Fimpton.       It didn’t take long to locate the group, at which point we took point and took over the heavy lifting. They were pretty exhausted when we showed up, though not terribly excited to see us just the same. We made a fair amount of progress between the mundane task of using shovels coupled with some arcane means to clear the snow as quickly as we were able.       Eventually some sort of worm monstrosity came up from under the path and got in the way of all of our fun. We managed to take this one out without too much issue, though a second decided to appear almost immediately after and really make things difficult. It also came up exactly where the group had decided to run to, seeming to kill everyone (including Fimpton). We searched after this one was taken down, but found no trace of them.       We made it back to the embassy licking our wounds and with a fair amount of exhaustion and reported our progress - as well as our losses - to the embassy, and eventually Rem.
