Blythe 8 Under The Sea

 

Objective

Snowdown fleet spotted trying to recover something of the sea floor. Intercept if possible, Destroy if needed.
 
 

Observations

We witnessed the destruction of a sizable portion of the locally station Snowdown fleet in by the wrath of a leviathan.

Operation Details

Intelligence from Kendrick Navy advised that the Snowdown fleet was attempting to retrieve something from the sea floor near the wreckage of ship of Captain Cornelius Schustanich (See Blythe 6 Bloody Boat Heartbeat).
  Erik, Valas, Ezra, Xion and Kardan were deployed to intercept if possible, destroy if needed.
 
 
  We were issued passage on the ship Wild Aprocot by Captain Roarbacher of the Alibaster fleet.
  Where the Swanmay meets the sea the Snowdown Darkness seems to pour out like a oil slick. Appeared to be moving almost organically sending out jagged spikes out in the front course of the ship. Fortunately we were able to avoid the spikes and proceed to the ourt destination.
 
 
  Again they were willing to do the sailing allowing us to rest till we were on site.
  We descended via Dive bell to the sea floor.
 
 
  *Future reference: Do NOT attempt to cast spell underwater traditionally. Uttering your spoken cadence beneath waves generally results in choking on water, if not suffocation.*
  Captain Roarbacher was able to get us relatively close to a literal sunken treasure chest.
  Xion was able to shapeshift gills to breath, Valas was able to morph Ezra into a shark, giving us a little bit of force and eyes underwater.
 
 
  As we approached the treasure chest we were attacked by a pair of mediums sized sea creatures. They did have some blinding and poising attacks, but with a Ezra-shark Do-do-dee-do on our side we were able to dispatch them fairly simply.
 
 
  Once the situation was secured we focused on the chest itself.
  Kardan and Erik tried repeatedly but were unable to move the chest itself, so we were forced to open the chest in the water, damaging some documents. Once open we were able retrieve:
  12x vials of blood blood
  4 books
  1 scroll case
  1 metal small stroll case
  2 jars eyes
  4x gold trade bars Omnium Empire
 
 
  We ascended back to the surface and the Snowdown fleet were quick to come upon us. Fortunately the Alibaster fleet is capable. Xion and Ezra assisted in our retreat by adding darkness and fog between us and the approaching fleet. Then all of us assisting in the throwing of unneeded cargo overboard to accelerate our speed. Aurora lights seemed to shine our way forward, making Erik think the crew has the favor of Valkur.
 
 
  Then as we returned nearer to the coast we saw, the grandest sight at sea Erik has ever seen. Like a mountain emerging from beneath the waves a leviathan rose. Over a dozen ships soon became little more than debris and food for a near god like aquatic beast.
  And blessedly it seemed to either not care about us, maybe liked us.
  Frankly with a being of such might, I was happy to see it not directed at us. So we simply returned to Cobh.
