Objective

Search and Rescue of Kendrick soldiers, last known sailing south of Cobh
 
 

Observations

East coast wind are favorable, pushing South at 4x knots ( 2x normal sail speed)
 

Follow up

Lt. Hyde White report the favorable winds may provide a better avenue of attack for Blythe.
  Erik has plans for upgrades to a ship for winter running and darkness sailing.

Operation Details

*For those not aware, Walking out the front gate creates 'falling' teleport to the fort's former location. Requires mental focus. Return via the same also.*
  We left from the fort, walking to Cobh.
 
 
  Halfway there, met Atripose. He was hunting the squirrel leader of the squirrels that Ragabash had earlier upset. The squirrels are still holding a grudge. *WARNING* This mage squirrel has a charming yell? Several of us were tranced in to confusion.
  We successfully caught the Squirrel leader and gave to Atripose.
 
 
  Arrived at Cobh, reported into Capt. Thorn. (Seems like Cobh and Fort actually developing good relations. Let's keep this up!)
 

From Cobh, Kendrick's forces have been sending recons ships to the south. Generally, 6 hrs durations. The most recent team had intel but has not returned. We were deployed as a rescue team.

  We were issued the Marywell. The same ship I had stolen on one of the Mysterious Isle missions. Been repaired into decent condition.
  Once out to sea, winds seem to be strongly south, allowing travel closer to 4 knots, (double average sailing speed.)
 
 
  About 3 hours into sail encountered the Kendrick vessel, wrecked, barely in the edge of the darkness. Survivors under attack from aquatic monsters 3 mediums sized. 2 larger once attacked us. The creatures had strong attack and quick multi attack abilities, which is how Halar went down.
 
 
  To his credit, Valas quickly cast Gentle Repose on Halar, and his body was returned to camp.
 
  As this war seems to be opening a naval front during winter, Erik has several thoughts for upgrades to the ship.
  Shield & Pitons for fire base.
  -keep warm at sea
  --will need a load of firewood/mission... Use BOH
  Iron Pot brew hot water on fire
  Ten foot poles shove off/collisions
  Lantern /torch holder "Headlight"
 
 
  Finally, while at Cobh, Halar talked with Capt. Thorn. Apparently, Kendrick's soldiers actually get paid?
