Carriers in the Imperial Navy are some of the largest warships operated by the Empire of Earth them, ranging in size, with some of the smallest, the escort carriers being barely larger than a cruiser, all the way up to the largest class currently operating in human space, the Planetae-class

Battlecruisers

Battlecruisers at a distance are often mistaken for battleships due to their similar shape. Still, battlecruisers are compared to battleships as being lightly armoured, as they have sacrificed protection for speed, often explained by the saying "Speed is protection." It's a fairly new class in the Navy, but already a few classes are being operated, with the newest one being the Mythological-class 

Cruisers

The cruiser is a type of heavily-armed and armoured warship designed with an emphasis on weaponry and armour over fighter complements. In the Navy, the cruisers are used to engage and destroy enemy vessels that might threaten a carrier force, and they often form the centrepiece of long-range patrols.

Destroyers

Fast, maneuverable, and designed for long-term endurance, destroyers are intended to escort larger vessels such as (battle)cruisers, battleships, and carriers, and often function as the long-range scouts of any battlegroup. In many cases, a group of destroyers is stationed as a system's defence. Mallard-class light destroyers They are the most numerous type in the Navy currently

Frigates

Lighter and more maneuverable than destroyers, the frigates of the Navy are often used to support ground invasions and act as troop carriers.

Corvettes

Small, fast, and able to operate more freely in the atmosphere compared to other classes, the corvettes are typically used by the special forces of the Navy or if they ask nicely, the Army.

Stealth ships

As the name suggest, these ships are used to sneak near a target and obtain as much information as possible, they are currently the only class that are able to hide their heat signature for longer periodes of time, although no longer than a day before they have to reveal themself. Likewise, their hull are coated in a special type of armour that can project what's behind it, so that it appears in front of it.

Colony ships

Large ships designed to transport colonists and equipment required for planetary colonisation.

Cargo/transportation

A type of ship like the Titan-Class Fuel Tanker one used to ensure that the rest of the Navy has enough fuel, water, and food, but most importantly, enough coffee.
