The Coin Takers
Dwarven Name: Luchd-Gabhail Bhuin (Coin Takers)
The tax collecting agency in and around Jathan. Made up solely of dwarves from the Republic. Hated by most for the taxes they are made to pay, in any way they can, on time. The Coin Takers make no exceptions when it comes to tax collecting. Besides the common monthly taxing of the city, the Coin Takers also charge any ships and adventuring parties that enter Jathan a 10% fee. They will then put the groups name and descriptions into their ledgers and give the group a Writ of Exemption with the end date usually being 6 months after that day.
Though many in the Tax Collectors are administrators, the dwarves who do the actual collecting look little different from dwarven soldiers. They march towards the money clad in shining, golden splint armor clutching their maces. They say that the only things true in this world are death and taxes, the Coin Takers take this phrase as an either/or scenario.
