Mercenary-Guard of Jathan

Dwarven Name: Freiceadan-Fastaichte à Jathan   Nicknames: Coward-Guard (derogatory, especially in Dwarvish), Sapphire Guard,   Appearance: All members are loaned a set of blue painted splint armor with the crest of the guard large upon its chest. You can tell how high up in the Guard a member is by how many sapphires are a part of the chest Crest on the armor. This armor must be returned to the city armory upon the member ending their contract with the Guard.   Headquarters: An Bharacáid (The Barricade). A large military looking building close to the Azure Keep.   Though technically a mercenary company, the Mercenary-Guard of Jathan were founded shortly after the Daragon Republic conquered Jathan and have had no other contracts in its over one hundred and fifty year history. Mercenaries often find themselves in need of steady and low risk work and the Mercenary-Guard provides this is spades. While charged with the policing of the city, most of the time they stick to patrols and routine work. Their worth is mainly in the suppression of riots and defense of property which the merchant class of the city is more than willing to pay out well for.
