Kinetic Ammunition
Kinetic Ammunition is the oldest vacuum-efficient ammunition type, originally made as caseless ammunition before Modern-Solarians even got out of the solar system. It only recently became useful as it used to be slow-moving and slow-firing, this all changed with the creation of the Reverse Piston system which makes it able to contend with Conventional Bullets.
Pistols that use Kinetic Ammo are called Springers, while rifles that use Kinetic Ammo are called Slammers.
Kinetic Ammunition uses (as the name suggests) kinetic energy to launch a projectile, which caused it to be useless before the invention of Reverse-Piston systems (wip) which caused kinetic ammo to enter the actual gun scene creating many military firearms, including the well-known automatic-rifle the STAR-54 using the system.
The advantage of using Kinetic instead of Pulsed is that it creates near to no heat and doesn't require casings to be ejected.
