Chrono Snail

The Chrono Snail is a strange, time-warping creature adapted to cold climates. Its most striking feature is the swirling black patterns that ripple across its gelatinous body, as if time itself ebbs and flows beneath its surface. The snail's body is coated in a thick layer of cold, acidic slime, which both protects it and slowly dissolves prey that comes into contact with it. This slime is also highly flammable, making it a prized resource for crafting torches and other incendiary tools.

The Chrono Snail's small, flexible trunk is its primary feeding tool, capable of sucking out the contents of its prey with unsettling efficiency. While it is technically an omnivore, it exhibits a clear preference for living creatures, which it traps using its unique time-manipulating abilities.

This eerie predator thrives in the frostbitten shadows of icy landscapes, where its time-altering traps and corrosive slime make it a slow but relentless hunter. Despite its unsettling habits, those brave (or foolish) enough to harvest its slime often find it a valuable resource in the harshest of environments.

It usually inhabits lower mountain areas in the Ablisca or even further south. Sometimes it can wander into higher areas. Encountering this small creature often leaves the witnesses either confused or dead.
