Rolk's Landing

Rolk's Landing was a small, unimportant world within the Sleipner Sector  which provided nothing more than a cargo transfer station on a number of major warp routes around the sector. Around its orbit were small shipyards offering repairs as well as crew, stores and ship training services. Planetside, land was either given over to spaceports, storage yards and landing complexes, temporary accommodation blocks and of course, merchant halls where deals are brokered, and cargo exchanged.   Despite all this, it was never seen as strategically important and never was a wealthy planet, with its only real income coming off a plethora of taxes, levies, fines and berthing charges.   The Imperium may not have seen its important, but Waaagh! Redgob  did, and when it arrived in roks, despite the best efforts of the miniscule PDF that existed, with some help from the Shadow Ravens Chapter, the orks took control of the planet, enslaving any Imperials not quick enough to get off world and out of system during the invasion and made it the main spaceport for the Waaagh!   Now, known as Redgob's Rokkit Ranch, the planet and its system are no longer under Imperial control and has become the centre of Redgob's power and Waaagh! Word has reached Kulak and Imperial tacticians and strategists are now trying to work out the extent of the Waaagh!boss' reach and how best to launch a counter-attack
