Chimera 4C9 (Four-Charlie-Niner)
Chimera transport 4C9 and its crew make up the dedicated transport for Command Squad 4C9 and Lieutenant Friedrich Hobart when they are deployed, often being seen as extensions of the unit itself.
The sappers of the 21st Kuati Combat Engineering Regiment are equipped with a number of vehicles to assist them in carrying out their roles but tend to be assigned as a pool of vehicles, whereas because 11 Platoon has been designated a ComEng quick reaction platoon, each squad within the platoon has been assigned vehicles permanently. This also allows the squads limited scope to personalised and customise the vehicle to fit certain roles on the battlefield, such as mine clearance
Chimera 4CP, much like its associated squad and officer, have seen a fair bit of combat since arriving in theatre, usually alongside 3rd Kuati Mobile Infantry Regiment, and has proven itself to be worth its weight in iron as its crew have been known to rapidly drop off and collect allied units mid-battle, whilst the Lieutenant and his command squad are leading the platoon
Assets
The chimera is equipped in the standard combat engineering arrangement, with a variety of specialised tools and equipment fitting inside and out, and is fitted with a 'dozer blade to help with battlefield clearance. To provide range fire support to its cargo, it has a turret mounted multi-laser and hull mounted heavy bolter. The vehicle also features a hunter-killer missile .
As it's attached to a command squad, its communications equipment and auspices have been significantly upgraded
