Verdant

Main producers of Skyships in the known world. Named for the vast amounts of Skyglass found in the area. Ironically named as the city has very little amount of plant life or green color. Known as the "City of Steel and Stone" or "City of Skyships". One of the largest cities of the Confederacy. Both in size and population. To accommodate the vast population it is built on multiple levels. The sister city to "Rathford". It is in a different province than Rathford and under the authority of a different Clan. Founded after Rathford, it is the foremost Skyship-building settlement in the Known World.   Many Skyship companies (e.g. builders, breakers, sellers, etc.) and transport companies have established their headquarters in the city. This includes the famous, "Skyworks Ships", the company that created the first "civilian/personal" airship. Due to this, the shipyards in and around the city are extensive. Largest source of Skyglass on the Confederacy Capital Continent. Mines litter the region, with vast underground networks. With quarries dotting the area as well. Parts of the city have been built into the remains of converted, older Skyglass mines.   Due to its location, it rarely deals with any aerofauna that would be hazardous to the city. This has led to the city, unlike most others, being built spread out and mostly under open sky.   It is "a city that never sleeps". There is activity going on at all times of day. From mining new resources, transport, factories making parts, to shipbuilding, selling, and breaking. A city of constant noise as well.   As the years passed and the population grew rapidly, new areas of the city were built further out and on multiple levels. Districts were have changed over time as well. The oldest districts currently standing are the Shipyards and part of the Residential district.   Districts include: Shipyards, Factory, Port, Commercial, Administrative, and Residential.
